October 2000 Seasons End
Craig Mason Memorial Trophy Races – Mallory Park 29th October
James competed in his last races of 2000 on Sunday at a cold and windy Mallory Park in Leicestershire. Race one was reduced to five laps after it was 'red flagged' after one lap. James made a reasonable start from his 6th row grid allocation to finish 18th out of 32 starters. Race two and the storm clouds were mustering.  The organisers had decided to reduce all races to five laps to try and beat the weather. James made a mess of the start from his second row grid position but managed to battle back to finish 18th. In the process he bested his personal best lap by one second. As he prepared to go to the grid for his final race rain started to fall in small showers and the track was not completely damp. Electing not to fit 'wets' proved to be a mistake. Wheel spinning from the line James realised that he would have to pull in but as he exited the corner before the turn for the pits the rear wheel 'spun up' and then the bike swung around and down James went. No serious damage was incurred by either the rider of the bike, the only casualty being his father, Mark's, bank account

2001 Season
Next season James will be entering the New ERA Club and Superclub Championships but our main races will be in the BEMSEE Championship. His goals are to improve as a racer, compete at and learn more circuits, and to concentrate on the PR side of racing more by improving the look of the team and the presence it has in both the paddock and in the media. This, of course, will rely on support from our present sponsors and from new ones.
