Tim Cappers 2000 Season

Tim is a young man from Kent, who with the support of his Dad Darren is going racing.
This may not sound much different to what a lot of fathers would do for their sons, but in this case you have to take into account is that Darren paid for the Aprilia RS125 that Tim will be riding with the money he got from a insurance claim for the loss of his leg in a motor bike accident.

Tim is now only 15 and only started riding in March 1999 when his dad who is also a long-standing MAG member taught him to ride a CR125 in the local fields near his school.
So it was a natural progression to then go to Mallory Park on a Novice training day!

Just two weeks later and it was of to Darley Moor to have a go in the UK Junior Challenge but being a bit unsure of what he was doing missed his first race because he was still trying to find out what he was doing.
But it was decided to put it down to experience and make a good impression in his next race but the old red mist took over and Tim didn't make it all the way around his first lap, before he had his first racing accident.
