Wendy Davis is 33 years old and has been racing for the last five years, getting some very good results in 1995 with the Retford MCC, she and her passenger finished third in the Formula Two Sidecar Championships.
In 1996 it was decided to compete in Ireland and the Isle of Man. In Ireland at the Ulster GP they finished in Twelfth and at the Jurby Road Race in the Isle Of Man finished in sixth place and best newcomer at the southern 100.
In 1997 they took on the Isle Of Man for real doing the TT in its 90th year. They finished 41st and 42nd from an entry of 72, and was also awarded the Susan Jenness Trophy, by the TT Supporters club for the lady with the most meritorious performance, and a framed photo from the Isle Of Man Tourist Board.
In 1998 she successfully competed in the Isle Of Man TT and manage to finish 43rd In1999 she returned to the Isle Of Man and finished 44th and 37th out of 75 starters, and once again was awarded the Susan Jenness Trophy be the TT Supporters for the lady with the most meritorious performance, and a framed photo from the Tourist Board.
But this year she has decided to be just that little bit different, in that she will still be doing the Isle Of Man TT, and maybe some more road races in Ireland. This year she will be competing with a new passenger, in a attempt to be the first all lady team to compete let alone finish the TT.
Unfortunatly Wendys plans came unstuck and she was unable to complete in this years TT due to problems with the side car chassis. But is aimimg for next years TT
We at MAG Sport wish her the very best for the rest of the season..
