First Race of the Year for Alex

Although not serious and more for track time, we took the chance to visit the N.E.M.C.R.C. meeting on the 19 th March at the Croft Circuit just outside Darlington, This is a circuit to be used in BSB in June so this was a good way of familiarising Alex with the track.

It turned out a perfect day, as the 125 GP class didn't have many riders Alex, another BSB competitor Lisa Thorne(Team NVIDIA) and Ian Ward, with such a small entry the club ran the 125 Gp's along side sound of Thunder bikes & forgotten era bikes a staggered start with the sound of thunder bikes away first followed by the Forgotten era and 125Gp's.

In race 1 after the SOT bikes were away of went the 125's and strait into the lead went Alex closely followed by the Forgotten era bike of Ian Pattinson this did last long though and Alex soon stretched a lead, never looking under pressure when the final flag fell ten laps later Alex ran home an easy winner on his Malaguti 13 seconds in front of Lisa on her Yamaha.

Race 2 and a repeat of race one with Alex stretching that initial lead but this time he managed to make up more ground on the SOT bikes which remember set of with around a ten second start finishing in Fifth place overall and first 125 home.
