Impromptu Slide School - Alex Hits the Slopes in February
Most people cringe when Snow and ice are mentioned, Not kids, after the recent blizzards to hit most of the country, snow eventually arrived at Carluke and with it being a week since Alex’s plaster was removed and after much pestering, I agreed it was time for him to start getting back on a bike.
Despite not having sat on any kind of bike since Brands Hatch last October the trusty old Kx was rolled out, and after a few minuets messing around, Alex soon turned the session into a an impromptu “Slide School”.
Keep those feet up!!!!!! And before long he was sliding about the ice like Jane Torvile……..OK, OK Christopher Dean.
One thing “I” have missed; and I must admit, I had forgot about. Being in the position to hear laughter coming from underneath his Crash Helmet and drowning out the noise from the engine!!!
Now remember it’s below freezing, it’s the first time on a bike for over 4 months and has had his wrist in plaster for almost three of them. What did he complain about after two hours going round & round in circles? He thought he’d frost bite in his toes!!!!
And of course it was not all plain sailing!!
