Young Alex Gault returns to MAG Sport for the 2007 season after a successful and challenging 2006.
Alex is 16 years old and hails from Carluke in Central Scotland, he first sat on a Minimoto back in August 2000.

In 2001 a trip to Italy resulted in Alex being awarded the title of official British ZPF rider, by none other than the late Pier Franco Zanetti, owner and founder of the ZPF factory, and the man responsible for introducing “Valentino Rossi” to the sport of minimoto back in 1990.
Zanetti is widely regarded as the creator of the most exclusive minimotos in the world. Alex raced ZPF in 2001, 2002 & 2003 and still regards Pier Franco's family as very good friends.
2002 seen Alex move to National events and concentrate on the ACU National Pocket bike championships where he won the Junior “B” and Production “A” Titles.
2003 Here Alex make the move to motorbikes. With the help of E.P. Barrus, Alex contested the "Junior Racing Associations" Formula 80 Championships on a Motohispania RX 70. In a fantastic debut season Alex lifted the JRA crown. Breaking a few records on the way – first time the champion had come from outside of England and the first time the championship had been won on any other bike than a Cagiva, which had dominated the series since its conception.
2004 and the move to the 125GP class seen Alex lift the Junior Racing Association's 125 Gp championship in its inaugural year, and also the Preston and Districts Open Single Cylinder Championship where he still holds the lap record for the class at the Three Sisters track.

2005 Was not a good year, Alex was contracted to race one of only five Malaguti GP bikes in the world in the British 125 GP Championships, Due to many reasons the Team did not get the results we had hoped for. However Alex learned a great deal and will take the experience with him to future championships.
2006 Brought a complete change in direction as Alex moved to 4 Stroke machinery, following in the footsteps of James Ellison (Moto GP), James Toesland (World Super Bike), Shane Burn (BSB & Moto GP), and many other talented riders.
Alex contended “The CB500 Cup” with spectacular results, Alex won every race! Winning the championship; with 5 races to spare.
Due to a change in licensing rules for the first time; 15 year olds were allowed to race 400cc multi-cylinder machines, taking advantage of this Alex campaigned a Honda RVF NC 35 in the Super Sports 400 class at various championship meetings throughout the year with remarkable success, out of 13 races he only missed out on one pole position and his score card finally read, 7 wins, two 2nds, one 3rd with 3 DNF’s,
With those bikes now sold, preparations are underway for 2007, when it is hoped Alex will make the move to 600cc machines in a hotly contested National Championship.
