Laura Maliphant - First Race - Oulton Park April 2006

Round one of the ACU Star Championship was at Oulton Park.

Oulton Park is one of the most technically challenging tracks of the whole championship.

This was Lauras first outing and she finished 16th in her first race out of 23 starters.

MAG Sport congratulates Laura on a fantastic achievement.

Laura says, “ Well race day was good, a lot of nerves but a lot of fun, not the best of luck!! Free practice....entered 1st corner only to be taken out, meaning no practice, my timed practice was spent learning the circuit better, I aimed for last on grid to give myself the best chance.”

“On the race it was a lot of hard work, the guys I'm up against have been racing between 5 years and 8 races....its quite varied!. I finished 16th out of 24, I was one place out of points, frustrated but still looking forward to more luck at Cadwell!”
