Returning to MAG Sport Racing for 2005, Mark is now in his third full season with the team.
Mark in a similar vain with the rest of MAG Sport Racing continues to improve his performance, catching the eye of sponsors leading to better machinery and moving up a competive notch.
This season Mark will be riding a Yamaha XTZ 686 in the Water-cooled class of the British Supermono Championship for the Rampisham Garage Racing Team.
The move to the Water-cooled class comes after the team purchased the machine at the end of last season. Mark sucessfully rode in the Air-cooled class over the past 3 seasons on a Spondon-Rotax with a best overall result of 3rd in the championship. The team are hoping for a top 3 finish for Mark in his debut season in the premier class.
Mark's association with S&S Tuning continues in 2005 and the team are planning to compete in the Northwest 200 Road Races in Northern Ireland.
Mark will ride his own Honda RVF 400 NC35 in the 400 race and a Honda CBR 600 RR in the 600 Race.
Both bikes will be prepared by Kev Spurr and Andy March of S&S Tuning
Having had a podium finish in the 2004 Ultralightweight Manx Grand Prix and beating his own personal best lap time in the Junior Race, hopes are high for 2005. Mark will once again have the expert backing of S&S Tuning to prepare the race bikes.
Mark has been putting his knowledge of racing on the TT course back into the sport through the Mike Hailwood Foundation.
The Foundation supports newcomers to the Manx Grand Prix by sponsoring trips to the Isle of Man, these trips give the selected newcomers an opportunity to get an insight into the TT mountain course, before venturing out onto it at the event itself.
