MARK CASTLE

New to the team for 2003 is Mark Castle joining after a season as a MAG member who raced.

Mark new "boy" to the team brings his experience at the Manx GP and Supermono Championships.

In 2002 Mark finished 10th overall, riding the Rampisham Garage - Spondon Rotax in the
Air-cooled ACU British Supermono championship, even though he only rode at Donington, Castle Coombe & Snetterton because of his big accident in
April which left him with a broken pelvis and cracked hip socket.

At the Manx GP on the Honda RVF 400 in the Newcomers race he was leading the Newcomers race until a tumble at the Bungalow on the 2nd lap.

Battling on Mark managed to get fixed up and finished the Ultralightweight race in 22nd place with a sliver Replica.

Also in 2002 Mark was supposed to be riding in the New Era Superclub championship on the 400
but having the major crash at Cadwell in April put pay to his championship hopes.

For 2003 Mark will be competing in the British Supermono Championship (which runs at the New Era Superclub meetings) for the RAMPISHAM GARAGE TEAM with hopefully a trip to Spa as the European Supermono supports the 24 hour race in July.

Mark has 2 bikes at his disposal this season, a recently acquired TIGCRAFT - ROTAX which will be used as a dry set up, and the old faithful SPONDON - ROTAX which he rode last year will be set up for the wet.

A debut ride at Abadere Park is on the cards too (but that's the weekend before he gets married).

Of course another trip to the Manx is planned, aiming for an improvement on the Silver replica.

All in all looking like a great season for Mark.
