Parking Demo Success
Issued 16th January 2009
 The lunchtime demonstration to Conservative HQ is done, with over 150+ riders attending, thank you.
An excellent turnout for a cold, wet, lunchtime, a small fraction of the amount of committed campaigners we have on our mailing list.
We hope to see more of you at future demonstrations.
We got the message across, we are here to stay and are not going away.
So here is a "report back" as to what happened:
Hopefully this will enrage you more to get this parking tax scrapped.
And also use the new feature "Object by e-mail":
YOU MAY NOW OFFICIALLY OBJECT BY EMAIL SPREAD THE WORD.
You may now officially object to this parking tax via email.
Although at first Westminster said we couldn't they have again be secretive about objections.
We have made it very convenient for you and as inconvenient as possible for Westminster Council, all you need to do is fill out the form here
 It will then automatically be sent to ALL 60 Westminster Councillors (Including personally to Danny Chalkley the spear-head of this tax) and all relevant parties and IT WILL BE treated as an official objection.
All you need to do is choose your own reference this could be anything "PARKINGTAX123" you choose, make sure you enter a valid address and your name.
Westminsters' reference is already set for you, this way Westminster can track it and you can refer to it when corresponding with them.
We will also send you a copy of the email for your records!
Please make sure even if you have sent an objection by post that you also send your objection via email as it will get to more people and still has to be counted as an official objection!
Spread the word on this and make sure you get all your friends, family, colleagues to all fill out this form.
Some templates and ideas can be found below the form, so please also check these out before lodging your objection.
Make your objections personal to you.
We all have similar reasons for objecting to these charges but just sending 300 identical emails with different signatures is unlikely to be anywhere near as effective.
Avoid being abusive or offensive.
It might make you feel better but these will be the first emails to go in the bin.
REMEMBER! IT IS WESTMINSTERS OBLIGATION TO REPLY.
SO TELL THEM WHAT YOU THINK OF THIS PARKING TAX
THIS OBJECT BY EMAIL IS HIGHLY EFFECTIVE!
