Iconic Brand Mv Augusta Returns To Nec Bike Show 2008

Issued 31st July 2008

Iconic motorcycle brand MV Augusta will be showcasing its exotic machinery at this year’s International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the Birmingham NEC.

Not seen at UK exhibitions since 2005, the famous marque has recently been given fresh impetus with exciting model plans in the offing.

Producing motorcycles since 1945, the company became synonymous with GP legend Giacomo Agostini taking an incredible 17 consecutive 500cc GP World Championships.

The MV Augusta F4 is renowned as one of the most powerful motorcycles in the world and is sure to be of great interest to show visitors.

MV Augusta importer, Moto GB, will also be exhibiting its other brands at the NEC; Benelli, Cagiva and Keeway scooters.

Tickets have recently gone on sale for this celebration of the best in biking and the dates 28th November to 7th December are certainly in the diaries of all the major motorcycle and scooter manufacturers for their new model launches.

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, said, “We are proud to have MV back at the show, and with performance and exotic machinery on display there will be a real buzz. The bikes aren’t something you pass every day on the street so visitors will want to stop and stare!”

Matthew Gilder, General Manager Moto GB, commented, “It’s an exciting time to be involved with MV Augusta. It definitely makes sense for us to showcase these machines at Britain’s biggest bike show to such a knowledgeable audience.”
