Suzuki Unleashes All-New Gsx-R1000 And Gladius At The Carole Nash International Motorcycle And Scooter Show

Issued 27th October 2008

Suzuki GSXR1000 2009Suzuki are all set to unleash their latest range of new and updated 2009 machines at the 2008 Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, held this year from 28th November to 7th December at the NEC in Birmingham.

Suzuki’s latest collection of bikes includes the all-new GSX-R1000, which is now more powerful, lighter and sharper then ever before.

The Show will also see the unveiling of the exciting, all new, mid-sized Suzuki Gladius!

Built around Suzuki’s racing data, the new Suzuki GSX-R1000 receives a total rework, boasting a new, more powerful motor, with improved handling and agility thanks to its shorter wheelbase chassis, with revised styling too, making the new bike a great performer and even sexier!

The Suzuki Gladius 650 is a new European styled middleweight machine, based around a thoroughly re-worked version of the highly popular SV650 V-Twin motor.

Producing more power, with improved low and mid-range torque, the new bikes slender body and lower seat height make the Gladius ideal for a multitude of riders, including novices.

Fans will also be able to feast their eyes on machines from Suzuki’s 2008 racing programme with bikes from MotoGP, World Superbike, British Superbike, Isle of Man TT and various off-road championships.

New for 2008, the # Suzuki Off Road Experience will be situated in Hall 4 of the NEC.

Riders aged from 6 will be able to experience the fun of riding a motocross bike with full kit, tuition and a giant inflatable safety wall! DR-Z70 and DR-Z125 machines will be available; all riders will receive a briefing before use and qualified Moto-X coaches will be on hand for support.

George Cheeseman, Marketing Manager Suzuki Motorcycles commented; “We are expecting our stand to be as popular as ever with our re-vamped and new 2009 models on display."

"With a vast array of machines to show off, Team Suzuki riders making appearances and the Suzuki Off-Road Experience in full swing, we are looking forward to providing something special for every visitor.”

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, added; “As in previous years Suzuki’s awesome new range of road and racing machines are sure to once again stun crowds at this year’s show.”
