Guintoli Ready for Crescent Suzuki Debut

Issued 24th November 2008

Sylvain Guintoli - Photograph Courtesy Crescent SuzukiCrescent Suzuki’s new British Superbike star Sylvain Guintoli will make his first official appearance for the team at the forthcoming International Motorcycle Show in Birmingham.

Guintoli will be introduced to the media at a press conference on Thursday 27th November at 10.30 on the Suzuki stand; this will also be followed by a short autograph session.

Guintoli will then return to the Suzuki display area – which is situated in hall one – at 14.00 and 16.00hrs for two more autograph sessions and to meet and greet fans.

Suzuki’s latest recruit has already tested a 2008 BSB Suzuki GSX-R1000 recently and will shortly be travelling to Spain for his first test on a fully-fledged race-prepared GSX-R1000 K9, but before he jets off, the 26-year-old Frenchman will find time to return to the NEC to spend more time meeting fans.

Guintoli will again be on the Suzuki stand on Saturday 29th November at 11.00, 14.00 and 16.00hrs for three further autograph sessions.

Guintoli will not be the only new attraction on the Suzuki stand as all the 2009 models will be on display including the latest incarnation of the Suzuki GSX-R1000 that he will be racing next year and will be available from Crescent Motorcycles in the near future.

Sylvain Guintoli:

“I can’t wait to go to the motorcycle show as it will be the first time I have had the chance to meet the British fans.”

“I know how important the BSB Championship is and how knowledgeable the fans are, so it will be great to meet them and get to know as many as possible”

“I am really looking forward to racing full-time in the UK as the BSB is one of the biggest, and best, championships in the world and I hope that I can perform well for Suzuki and Crescent and put on a good show for all the people that will come to watch.”

“I love living in Britain and really like the British people and that has made it so easy for me to make the decision to race in BSB next year, I now just hope that the public get to like me as much over the coming months!”
