After a successful Gold Cup meeting last September which attracted the third largest crowd in its 58th year, the Auto66 are now fuelled up to attract an even bigger audience in 2009.

The Barry Sheene Race Festival gets a new date and becomes an International event.

For the last 2 years the event was run in June and suffered from many clashes with similar types of events.

The 2009 date is 23rd and 24th May.

The season starts with the Ian Watson Spring National on 19th April, just 1 week before the Irish season starts, which hopefully will attract a host of Irish competitors to the fabulous Oliver’s Mount Circuit.

The Cock ‘O’ The North will take place on 11th and 12th July, this event attracts a huge crowd due to the many social events that are connected to the weekend.

Rounding off the season will be the 59th International Gold Cup on 19th and 20th September.

The Auto66 are already contracting riders for this bumper meeting.

There are many riders hoping to topple Guy Martin from the top of the podium in 2009.
