MAX FLINDERS - MAG SPORT 2007 - Hot News - Championship Winner

Max has won both ACU Youth Grassstrack National titles - MX65 and MX85!!

He has two more meeting left this season (Lancashire and Yorkshire on 7th & 14th October.

As well as the UK titles he has also picked up the MX65 White Rose championship, MX65 Northern Riders Championship, MX65 East Midland Championship, MX85 East Midland Championship with the Yorkshire & Lancashire still to be decided - MAX is looking good!

Tallington National Championships - 22nd September

This was the big one - Max was defending his 2006 MX65 title and also going to be fighting for a shot at the MX85 title.

The track was in great condition and the weather stayed dry. Max looked good in practice and even though there was some stiff competition he went into the 12 races in a confident mood.

This was more than justified with an amazing 12 out of 12 race wins......... .

Great result and another two Championships to add to Max's CV.

Yorkshire - Round 5 - 2nd September

For the first time this year the weather was dismal!

But despite the driving mist and high winds Max continued his domination in the MX 65 class with six out of six wins and a clear lead in the championship.

Meanwhile in the MX85 class he was beaten to second place by Toby on a 150 Honda, despite riding the wheels off his KX85 he just could not match the pace of the bigger machine and finished a very creditable second.

With one round to go in Yorkshire all eyes are on the championship.

Lancashire Northern Riders Championship 26th/27th August

Great two day meeting held by the Lancashire junior riders club.

The track was very large and was going to be a speed circuit. Sunday was the one day northern riders championship and Max lead the way in every race on his hot Monster Energy KX65.

This gave him a clear win in front of a hotly contested race for the runner up positions.

MX85 class did not go Max's way as the size of the track was perfect for the bigger 4-stroke machines, Max pushed his KX85 to its limit and finished a very credible 3rd place behind two CRF150R machines.

These results were repeated on the Mondays meeting with Max being unbeaten in the MX65 class and finishing 3rd in the MX85 class.

Yorkshire White Rose Championship - 12th August

A Last minute change of venue saw this championship take place on a steep field with off camber corners which raised a few problems for some of the riders.

Max went out in the MX65 class and did the business against a strong field, but as in previous events he was unbeatable and took the win with 6 first places.

The champagne flowed and Max looked strong.

However in the MX85 class the course did not suit Max's flowing style on his 2-stroke and the point and squirt power of the 4-stroke 150cc bikes proved very hard to beat.

Max put on a great fight with one win, four seconds and a third place which left him with the second place trophy.....great racing.

Yorkshire - Round 4 - 8th July
Thanks to Ron Hinsley for the photo

An even better turn out than at round 3 didn't faze MAX as he swept up with a clean win in all of this MX65 and MX85 races.

The sun shone and the bikes ran perfectly.

Next meeting is in Manchester at Debdale park and this is the first time we have raced there.

We are hoping for a good turn out of spectators as Max see's this as his home meeting as all his relatives are from Salford!!........see you there.

Yorkshire - Round 3 - 17th June

Good Weather followed days of rain for Yorkshires meeting, there was also a bigger turnout than at previous rounds (people are hearing about the Yorkshire hospitality!)

Max went out and loved the tight track, he showed his dominance in the MX 65 class with 6 out of 6 wins.

In the MX85 class he also took no prisners as he wiped the floor with the opposition, another 6 out of 6 wins.

There were three spectacular crashes which need medical attention and we hope Sam, Daniel and Josh are all OK following there off's.

Lancashire - Round 2 - 10th June

The weather was great and Max was once again unstoppable in the KX65 class with another 6 out of six wins.

Whilst in the MX 85 class he was once again up against the big Hondas.

In race one he lead from start to finish with no threats, Race 2 saw him chasing Kyle to the flag the remaining four races saw Max pushing hard but getting squeezed out every attempt he made.

This left Max in second place overall in the MX85 class.

Yorkshire - Round 2 - 6th May

Max carries on his dominance in the KX 65 class with 6 out of 6 wins

He also wins the MX85 class with 4 wins out of 6.

Lancashire - Round 1 29th April

Max gets a clean sweep in the MX65 class and has a good fight for a second place in the MX85 class against Kyle on his CRF150R.

MX65 - Six races and six wins, you can't say better than that. An excellent start in Yorkshire in the brilliant sunshine
